The fifth race of the Winter Competition "De Rotstergaastloop" will take place in Heerenveen and has been held in various weather conditions in the past, ranging from icy cold to gentle spring sunshine. The runners have also had to endure snow, hail, and rain. The route is entirely paved, and participants can choose between 7 kilometers and 15 kilometers. The start is at the parking lot of recreation park de Heide, just a 10-minute walk from the clubhouse where registration and showers are available.
